ABOUT THE COMPANY – PSG

PSG is a top independent financial services group, who provide services such as financial planning, investments, unit trusts, stockbroking, life insurance, healthcare, estate and trust services, personal and commercial short term insurance. The company has been operating since 1998, and are present not only in South Africa, but also in Mauritius and Namibia.
The companies services are split into 3 major categories: “PSG Insure” for commercial and personal short-term insurance; “PSG Wealth” for individual, family and business wealth management services; and “PSG Asset Management” for global funds, segregated portfolios and local unit trusts for individuals and institutions.

The PSG Bursary is for students who are studying towards a degree qualification and are wanting to further their career in the financial services industry.
Bursaries will be awarded within the following fields of study:

MORE ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – COVERAGE VALUE

The bursary will provide coverage of the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed textbooks etc. Apart from the financial support, students will also receive the following:
  • mentoring, coaching and support
  • entrance into the graduate programme
  • working experience within the financial services industry

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Studying towards a postgraduate degree qualification within one of the aforementioned fields of study (or in final year of Engineering undergraduate degree)
  • Achieved a minimum overall average of 65%
  • Wish to further your career in the financial services sector
  • Able to keep calm and work well under pressure
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Resilient
  • Energetic
  • Solution oriented
  • Ambitious
  • Self-motivated
