ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform will be awarding bursaries within the following fields of study:
- Land Surveying/ Geomatics (BSc)
- Town and Regional Planning/ Urban Design (BSc)
- Geo-Informatics/ Geographic Information Science (BSc/ BA)
- Surveying/ Cartography (National Diploma)
- Town and Regional Planning (National Diploma)

The bursary award will cover the following expenses: tuition fees, registration fees, textbooks, meals, accommodation and a living allowance.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted – if you have not received any feedback by 15 January 2020, regard your application as unsuccessful.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric OR currently in Matric
- Studying or planning to study full-time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
- Studying or planning to study at a recognised University or University of Technology in South Africa
- Achieved a minimum level 4/ Higher Grade D/ Standard Grade C for Mathematics and Physical Science in Matric

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your online application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric latest results, if currently in Matric (certified copy) (to be submitted by 10 January 2020 at the latest)
- Matric certificate, if completed Matric (certified copy) (to be submitted by 10 January 2020 at the latest)
- Curriculum Vitae with contact details
- University/ University of Technology acceptance letter (to be submitted by 10 January 2020 at the latest)
- Full academic record, if currently at tertiary level (certified copy) (to be submitted by 10 January 2020 at the latest)
- Proof of address (letter from the traditional authority if residing in a village/ letter from the municipality if residing in a town. township or farm)
