Compensation Fund Bursary Programme 2019

Bursary Details: 

The Compensation Fund is offering bursaries to youth, dependents of Compensation Fund pensioners and current Compensation Fund pensioners, to pursue their studies with Tshwane University of Technology, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town and University of Kwa-Zulu Natal for the academic year 2019.

Critical scarce skills funded:
  • Nursing
  • Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB,ChB)
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Science
  • Information Communications Technology and Actuarial science.

Candidate Requirements: 

  • Youth, dependents of Compensation Fund pensioners and current Compensation Fund pensioners, who are South African Citizens between the ages of 17 – 25 years and accepted to study at listed Universities for the critical scarce skills identified by the Fund

How to Apply: 

  • South African citizens
  • Fully completed application form
  • Proof of residence
  • Originally certified copy of Identity card/ birth certificate of the applicant (youth, dependents of Compensation Fund pensioners and current Compensation Fund pensioners)
  • Certified copy of matric certificate
  • Fatally injured pensioner’s certified copy of death certificate
  • Certified copy of surviving parent or guardian’s ID card/book
  •  Award letter for fatally injured pensioner and listed dependents or fatally injured pensioner’s pension number or Compensation Fund pensioner’s pension number
  • Proof of acceptance (admission) from the Tshwane University of Technology, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town and University of Kwa-Zulu Natal confirming identified scares skills courses.
